  Ordnance Factory Board (OFB) consisting of the Indian Ordnance Factories is a Government agency under the control of the department of defence production (DDP) Ministry of Defence (MoD), Government of India.   The Integrated Space Cell was the nodal agency within the Government of India which oversees the security of its space-based military and civilian hardware systems. It was to be jointly operated by all the three services of the Indian Armed Forces , the civilian Defence Research and Development Organisation , and the Indian Space Research Organisation ( ISRO ). This agency was Superseded by Defence Space Agency . The Integrated Space Cell has been set up to utilize more effectively the country's space-based assets for military purposes and to look into threats to these assets.   The Defence Intelligence Agency ( D.I.A ) is an organisation responsible for providing and coordinating military intelligence for the Indian armed forces . It was created in March 2002 and is administered within the Ministry of Defence . DIA is the nodal agency for all defence -related intelligence , thus distinguishing it from the other Indian intelligence internal and external agencies. DIA controls the Indian armed forces ' technical intelligence assets – the Directorate of Signals Intelligence, a tri-service agency, and the Defence Image Processing and Analysis Centre (DIPAC). While the Signals Directorate is responsible for acquiring and decrypting enemy communications, the DIPAC controls India's satellite -based image acquisition capabilities. Birth of the National Cadet Corps The Kashmir War of 1948 taught a very important lesson to India , that freedom needs to be protected by strong Armed Forces . Its immediate manifestation was that the recommendations of the Kunzuru committee were placed before the Constituent Assembly (Legislature) on 13 Mar 1948. A draft Bill was sent to the Constituent Assembly (Legislative) on 19 Mar 1948, which evoked great interest and enthusiasm amongst all members. After due deliberations and amendments, the Bill was passed by the Assembly on 08 Apr 1948. The Central Govt accepted the opinion of the Provincial Govts and the Standing Committee’s recommendations for the formation of a Cadet Corps which was to be named as “ National Cadet Corps ”, as recommended by the Kunzuru Committee. The Bill received the assent of the Governor-General on 16 Apr 1948, and the National Cadet Corps came into being by an Act of the Parliament Act No. XXXI of 1948 designated ‘ The National Cadet Corps Act 1948 ’.

  Bharat Rakshak is a website devoted to discussing India's military affairs . It was started and is run by military enthusiasts. Bharat Rakshak was started in April 1997 by bringing together the individual websites of Indian Defence enthusiasts. The website was officially launched on 1 July 1997 by Seetal Patel and Rupak Chattopadhyay. While the concept of Open Source Intelligence , as defined by the United States intelligence community, is still evolving in India , Bharat Rakshak has been cited as a website that could be held in the same category as its western counterparts. The forum has many members with experience in Indian Armed Forces and defence technology firms. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) is India 's counter-terrorism task force . The agency is empowered to deal with terror-related crimes across states without special permission from the states. The Agency came into existence with the enactment of the National Investigation Agency Act 2008 by the Parliament of India on 31 December 2008, which was passed after the deadly 26/11 terror attack in Mumbai. Such an attack clearly surfaced the failure of intelligence and ability to track such activities by existing agencies in India , hence the government of India realized the need for a specific body to deal with terror-related activities in India, thereby establishing the NIA.   The National Security Council (NSC) of India is an executive government agency tasked with advising the Prime Minister's Office on matters of national security and strategic interest. It was established by the former prime minister of India Atal Bihari Vajpayee on 19 November 1998, with Brajesh Mishra as the first National Security Advisor. Prior to the formation of the NSC, these activities were overseen by the Principal Secretary to the preceding Prime Minister.
